Amavasya Tithi -

Performing Diwali puja during the Pradosh period of the Amavasya Tithi is considered auspicious. The Amavasya Tithi will begin at 3:44 pm on October 20th and end at 5:54 pm on October 21st. Thus, the auspicious time for Diwali puja will be during the Pradosh period on October 20th. Worshiping Lord Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi during the Pradosh period and Vrishabha period on this day is considered auspicious.

The Pradosh period is from 5:46 pm to 8:18 pm. If you wish to perform puja during the Vrishabha Rashi, the auspicious time for puja will be from 7:08 pm to 9:03 pm.
