Citroen C3 Aircross SUV will be launched in India today i.e. on January 29 in automatic transmission (AT) option. The French company had launched it in the Indian market in September last year with a single petrol manual powertrain. The price (ex-showroom) of the AT variant of the SUV could range between ₹10 lakh to ₹15 lakh.
Automatic transmission will now get 6 speed automatic torque converter. It has been paired with the 1.2 liter turbo petrol engine launched last year. This is a single option engine in the Citroen SUV, which generates torque of 190 Nm.
Automatic transmission or AT is a multi-speed transmission. It is used to engage forward gear without driver input in normal driving conditions. That means, if the car is running in normal condition and there is a need to change gear, then the car will change it itself.
In the Citroen C3 Aircross SUV, the company has given a 1.2-litre Gen-3 turbo petrol engine. It generates power of 108 bhp at 5,500 rpm and peak torque of 190 Nm at 1,750 rpm. Talking about transmission, this SUV of Citroen will also have the option of automatic transmission along with 6-speed manual transmission.
The features of the Citroen C3 Aircross automatic transmission are likely to be similar to the C3 Aircross manual. The car has a 10.2-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay. Apart from this, the cabin will get one-touch auto down of all four window glasses and electric powered adjustment system for mirror wing.
