KRAFTON India has announced the launch of BGMI Campus MVP, a 90-day student leadership programme aimed at developing and expanding Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) communities across India’s top engineering colleges.
The initiative focuses on empowering students to become campus gaming leaders by organising tournaments, creating gaming content, hosting community events and encouraging greater participation among their peers.
The first cohort includes 150 student ambassadors from 17 IITs and 28 NITs, who will play a key role in building a strong and organised BGMI ecosystem within their institutions.

BGMI Campus MVP is designed to create a student-driven gaming network where ambassadors can manage communities, organise competitions and connect gamers through both online and offline experiences.
What Is BGMI Campus MVP? Student Ambassadors to Lead Campus Esports Activities
As part of the programme, ambassadors will be responsible for:
- Building and managing BGMI communities within their colleges.
- Conducting regular in-game tournaments and scrimmages.
- Creating campus-focused gaming content.
- Hosting offline gaming meet-ups and community events.
- Organising inter-department and inter-college competitions.
- Representing their institutions in national campus gaming rivalries.
By combining competitive gameplay with real-world interactions, the programme aims to create a long-term platform for students to engage with gaming beyond individual matches.
BGMI Campus MVP Receives Over 16,000 Applications From Students Nationwide
The programme received a massive response from students across India, with more than 16,000 applications submitted from over 5,000 institutions.
Following the selection process, 150 student ambassadors were chosen for the inaugural BGMI Campus MVP batch, while another 100 students were shortlisted as a reserve pool.
The selection process focused on identifying passionate gamers and student leaders who can build active gaming communities, increase participation and create meaningful gaming experiences on their campuses.
BGMI Campus MVP Programme Structure: Three Phases to Develop Campus Gaming Culture
The 90-day programme will be conducted through three structured phases, where ambassadors will complete different tasks and activities to strengthen BGMI communities.
Throughout these phases, students will focus on:
- Community growth and engagement.
- Hosting gaming competitions.
- Developing creative BGMI-related content.
- Conducting offline activities.
- Encouraging participation from fellow students.
This approach aims to create a sustainable campus gaming ecosystem where students can collaborate, compete and improve their leadership skills.

BGMI Campus MVP Rewards: Ambassadors Can Win UC, Gaming Gear and Exclusive Prizes
Student ambassadors will earn Rank Points (RP) by completing assigned activities during each phase of the programme.
Based on their performance, ambassadors can unlock several rewards, including:
- Welcome kits.
- Food and e-commerce vouchers.
- BGMI in-game UC.
- Gaming accessories such as trigger sets and premium headphones.
- Level 3 backpacks for top-ranked participants.
The five best-performing ambassadors across India will achieve the Conqueror rank and receive rewards worth up to INR 15,000.
BGMI Players Can Win Vouchers and Merchandise Through Campus Challenges
The programme also rewards students who participate in competitions organised by BGMI Campus MVP ambassadors.
Phase 1: Classic Matches
- Winners will receive food vouchers.
Phase 2: TDM Matches and Offline Activities
- Participants can win premium vouchers.
Phase 3: Inter-Department Rivalries
- Winners will receive exclusive BGMI merchandise hampers.
These competitions are expected to encourage more students to actively participate in campus gaming activities.
BGMI Campus MVP Activities Begin Across IITs and NITs
The selected ambassadors have completed their onboarding and orientation sessions and have started conducting activities under the programme’s opening phase.
The initial activities include:
- Organising Classic Matches.
- Creating campus gaming content.
- Engaging students through community events.
- Building BGMI communities within their institutions.

Through BGMI Campus MVP, KRAFTON India aims to develop a nationwide student gaming ecosystem and provide young gamers with opportunities to gain experience in leadership, event management and community building.
The programme marks another step towards expanding the esports culture in India by connecting students through competitive gaming, teamwork and campus-level experiences.
