Former New Zealand cricketer Simon Doull believes that Virat Kohli for Royal Challengers Bangalore and Shubman Gill for Gujarat Titans can be match-changing. He says that both teams have excellent players in the top order and can change the course of the match. Gill and Virat are in excellent form this season. Therefore, both will play a crucial role in the first qualifier. Gujarat and Bangalore will face each other in the first qualifier of IPL 2026. This match will be played in Dharamsala on Tuesday. The match could be very exciting as the top two teams will clash. Therefore, Doull has made a bold prediction about the match. He believes that the team that dominates in the powerplay could secure a place in the final.

Speaking on JioStar, Dooley said, "Whichever team wins the powerplay will win the match. I believe Gujarat and Bengaluru have strong batting line-ups. They also have excellent bowling attacks. This match is going to be very tough as both teams are coming into the field with winning momentum. They have match-winners who can change the course of the match. One team has Virat Kohli, the other has Shubman Gill. Both of these players are in excellent form.
