Kandy Falcons batters were on cruise control the entire match as they lost just 1 wicket in the first innings and scored a mammoth total of 199 runs with Carlos Braithwaite, Pathum Nissanka, and Andre Fletcher scoring invaluable runs for the team. Colombo Stars were unable to get a good start as they lost wickets in regular intervals mainly due to Wanindu Hasaranga taking 4 wickets and one run out. Colombo was only able to score 99 runs due to an exceptional bowling effort
