On day 2, Australia resumed their batting but kept losing wickets at crucial intervals. Steve Smith managed to score a vital 71 for his side but England bowlers made sure to pick up all 10 wickets before stumps on day 2. Australia ended the day with 295 runs on the scoreboard and a lead of 12 runs.
