Captain Buttler shined for England with a crucial 60 run contribution and some important knocks from the other batters took England to 259 runs on the board. During the chase, India lost their top three star studded batters quickly but later on it was Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya who became a force to reckon with. The duo stitched up a splendid partnership which helped India cross the line comfortably. Pant ended with an unbeaten 125 while Hardik made a sizzling 71. India clinched a thrilling series 2 - 1 and Pant was named the player of the match.
