Pakistan won the toss and elected to bowl first in the final ODI. Australia was stunned by the Pakistan bowlers as both the Aussie openers got out for a duck. Ben McDermott, Alex Carey, Cameron Green and Sean Abbott later scored some important runs and took Australia to a total of 210 runs. Haris Rauf and Mohammad Wasim picked up three wickets each for the home side. Pakistan was simply spectacular during the chase. Opener Imam ul Haq and captain Babar Azam scored 89 and 105 runs respectively to take their side over the line. Pakistan won the third ODI by a nine-wickets and secured the series. Babar Azam was named both the player of the match and the player of the series for his impressive performance throughout the series.
