Prabath Jayasuriya led the Sri Lankan bowling attack against Pakistan in the final day of the final test match. Pakistan's only hope was to tie the match and then win the series but some brilliant bowling and fielding displays help Sri Lanka clinch a comfortable victory over the visitors. Babar Azam played a valiant knock but was unable to see Pakistan home in this test series.
