England won the toss and decided to bowl first in the 2nd T20I. Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant gave a good start for India but England quickly wrapped up India's top order batters for less than 100 runs. Ravindra Jadeja however played a magnificent innings of 46 from 29 deliveries which took India to 170 runs. England's plan to chase down the total went downhill from the very first ball after Bhuvneshwar Kumar picked up Jason Roy. The host kept on losing wickets and were all out for 121 runs in the end. Bhuvneshwar Kumar was named the player of the match for his 3 wicket haul.
