An eagerly awaited match was delayed due to rain and the match was cut to 29 overs each. England was then put to bat first by South Africa. The English batters did not have an easy day as none of them could go on to score big runs. After a mediocre batting performance, England ended with 201 runs. South Africa however had an even more disappointing day with the bat, a total batting collapse ended the visitors with just 83 runs on the board. England won by 118 runs and Sam Curran was named the player of the match.
