Australia won the toss and elected to bat first in the 2nd ODI. Aussies lost both their openers quickly but Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne stitched up a great partnership. Steve Smith just missed out on a century after getting out for a sizzling 94 run knock. Finally, Mitchell Marsh's half-century helped Australia to end their innings with 280 runs on the board. Mitchell Starc and Adam Zampa were simply brilliant as they took apart the England batting lineup. James Vince and Sam Billings were the only batters to make a significant contribution in the chase. Australia won the match by 72 runs and lead the series 2 - 0.
