On day four of the first test match, both Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith continued their batting. Marnus Labuschagne got out after scoring a well made 90 and Steve Smith was dismissed for 78. Later, Travis Head, Cameron Green and Alex Carey all came in and made some handy runs before getting out. Day four ended with captain Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc staying unbeaten till stumps and Australia with a total of 449 runs.
