Sri Lanka posted a decent total of 268 runs after the first innings. Charith Asalanka was the top scorer for his side with 91 runs. However, Afghanistan showcased a great effort and chased the total in 46.5 overs. Ibrahim Zadran led the batting with a vital 98-run knock which helped Afghanistan to win by six wickets.
