Spartans Football Club, often simply known as Spartans, is a Scottish football club based in the Pilton area of Edinburgh, Scotland. They currently play in Scottish League Two. The club was founded in 1951 by former Edinburgh University players; initially, the intention was for the team to consist solely of university graduates. However, the club is now open to players from any background. Spartans play at Ainslie Park and wear white shirts, red shorts, and white socks.
