Partick Thistle Football Club is a professional football club based in Glasgow, Scotland, currently competing in the Scottish Championship. Despite its name, the club plays at Firhill Stadium in the Maryhill area of the city and has not played in Partick since 1908. The club has been a member of the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) since its formation in 2013; prior to that, it was a member of the Scottish Football League.
Since 1936, Thistle has played in distinctive red and yellow jerseys featuring various designs, including hoops, stripes, and a predominantly yellow top with red trim. However, a centenary kit featuring the original navy-blue style was launched in 2009 to mark the club's 100th anniversary at Firhill. Since 1908, the club has won the Scottish Second Division (the third tier, now known as Scottish League One) twice and the Scottish First Division (the second tier, now known as the Scottish Championship) six times—most recently in 2013. Thistle won the Scottish Cup in 1921 and the Scottish League Cup in 1971.
