Sonal Dinusha was born on December 4, 2000, in Colombo. The 25-year-old is a bowling all-rounder who made his Test debut against Bangladesh last June. He scored his maiden Test century—which is also his first international century—in his fourth Test and sixth innings. Notably, Sonal has not yet made his ODI or T20 debut for Sri Lanka.
Sonal has played 68 first-class matches and scored 3,698 runs across 102 innings. In first-class cricket, he has hit 11 centuries and 19 half-centuries, while also taking 133 wickets.
