Shafali Verma wins the ICC Women Player of the Month award for November: Indian women's cricket sensation Shafali Verma has been awarded the prestigious ICC Women's Player of the Month award for November 2025. This honor recognizes her outstanding all-round performance, which helped India win the historic Women's World Cup 2025 title.

Shafali Verma won this award specifically for her incredible performance against South Africa in the final match of the Women's Cricket World Cup 2025.

This historic match was played at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, where India lifted the World Cup trophy for the first time.

• Batting Brilliance: Opening the innings, Shafali played a magnificent knock of 87 runs, which is also her highest score in ODIs. She provided a strong foundation for the team by forging a crucial 104-run partnership for the first wicket with the experienced Smriti Mandhana.
• Bowling Prowess: After her batting heroics, the young all-rounder, living up to the trust placed in her by captain Harmanpreet Kaur, also impressed with her off-spin bowling. She took 2 crucial wickets, giving away only 36 runs in 7 overs.
• She took the wickets of experienced South African batters Sune Luus and Marizanne Kapp, completely turning the match in India's favor.

Thanks to the collective performance of the Indian bowlers, the South African team was restricted to 246 runs, and India won the match by 52 runs.
