Victim Family Questions India vs Pakistan Match: The victim family of the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22 April 2025 has expressed their grief and anger over the India-Pakistan match in the Asia Cup. Sawan Parmar of Bhavnagar, who lost his father and 16-year-old brother in this attack, said that there should be no match with Pakistan until his brother is brought back.

Question to the government on terrorist attack

Sawan Parmar told that his father Yatesh Parmar and brother Sumit Parmar were killed in that attack. Questioning the policies of the government, he said, "Pakistan is a terrorist country, there should be no kind of behavior with it. If you have to play a match with Pakistan, then first give back my 16-year-old brother, who was killed in Pahalgam."

He also said that the Indian government had launched 'Operation Sindoor' after the attack, but if the match is happening now, it seems that that operation has been wasted.

Appeal to the whole country

Sawan's mother and Sumit's wife Kiran Yatish Parmar also opposed the match. She asked a direct question to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, "Why is this India-Pakistan match happening when 'Operation Sindoor' is not over yet?"

Kiran appealed to the whole country to meet the families who have lost their loved ones in this attack and see their pain. She said that their wounds have not healed yet.

Protests across the country

After this incident, protests are being held across the country against playing the match with Pakistan. There have been protests at many places and a large section of the country believes that there should not be a cricket match with Pakistan, which supports terrorism.
