Manchester Super Giants (MSG) created history by winning the The Hundred Men’s 2026 title for the first time, defeating Trent Rockets by five wickets in a thrilling final at Lord’s. Tim Seifert produced a sensational 72 off 38 balls to guide MSG to the trophy.
Trent Rockets posted 158/8 after batting first, but MSG chased down the target in dramatic fashion, reaching 159/5 with just two balls remaining.
Manchester Super Giants Beat Trent Rockets by Five Wickets
Trent Rockets were unable to build a big total despite some aggressive contributions from their middle order. MSG’s bowlers kept taking wickets at crucial stages and restricted the Rockets to 158/8.
Aneurin Donald was the Rockets’ top scorer with 38 off 19 balls, smashing five fours and two sixes. Lewis Gregory added 32 off 16 balls, while Ben Duckett contributed 31 from 24 deliveries.
For MSG, Noor Ahmad was the standout bowler, claiming three wickets. Sonny Baker picked up two, while Josh Tong and Liam Dawson took one wicket each.

Tim Seifert’s 72 Powers MSG to Maiden Hundred Title
MSG started the chase aggressively, with Tim Seifert taking the attack to the Trent Rockets bowlers from the outset.
Seifert smashed 72 runs from just 38 balls, hitting four fours and seven sixes. His explosive innings provided MSG with the momentum needed to chase down a competitive target in the final.
Paul Walter gave him good support at the top, scoring 22 from 14 balls before being dismissed with MSG on 66.
Captain Jos Buttler then added 23 from 14 deliveries, taking the score to 100 before his dismissal.
MSG Hold Their Nerve to Chase 159 at Lord’s
Seifert continued to anchor the chase until he was dismissed with MSG on 136. His departure briefly gave Trent Rockets hope of forcing a late twist.
Heinrich Klaasen was unable to make a major impact and fell for 11, while Michael Bracewell was dismissed for a duck.
However, MSG kept their composure in the closing stages. Lahiru Dhu Plessis finished unbeaten on 27 from 18 balls, hitting four boundaries, while Liam Dawson remained not out on six.
MSG eventually reached 159/5, completing a five-wicket victory with two balls remaining.

Tim Seifert Named Player of the Match and Series
Seifert's impact throughout the tournament was crucial to MSG's title-winning campaign. His 72 in the final earned him the Player of the Match award.
The batter also finished the competition with an impressive 394 runs, earning the Player of the Series honour.
His consistency and explosive strokeplay proved decisive as MSG went all the way in The Hundred Men’s 2026.
