Asian Champions Trophy will start from September 8

The match between India and Pakistan in the Asian Champions Trophy will be played on 14 September. However, the tournament will start on 8 September and will continue till 17 September. Its schedule has been released on Monday. The tournament is to be held in Hulunbuir, China. Apart from India and Pakistan, teams from host China, Japan, South Korea, and Malaysia are also participating in it. The first match will be played between South Korea and Japan on 8 September, on the same day the Indian hockey team will be seen clashing with China. The Indian team will clash with Japan on 9 September, Malaysia on 11 September, South Korea on 12 September, and then Pakistan on 17 September.

All the teams will play their matches against each other, after which the top 4 teams will directly enter the semi-finals. The Indian hockey team performed brilliantly in the recently concluded Paris Olympics and won the bronze medal. The team performed well throughout the tournament, but suffered a close defeat at the hands of Germany in the semi-finals, leaving its dream of winning gold and silver unfulfilled.
