India's T20 World Cup winning team received a hefty reward when BCCI Secretary Jay Shah declared a Rs 125 crore prize fund. On June 30, Shah announced through X.

Indian Express has now revealed the specifics of how the full Rs 125 crore would be divided. All 15 of the team's players, as well as the coaching, support, backroom, and selection committee members, would profit, according to a story that was posted on IndianExpress.com on July 8.

Each of the 15 cricket players who were a member of the winning team will receive Rs. 5 crore. Twelve cricketers who participated in at least one tournament match and three players who were unable to get a game are among the fifteen participants. Yuzvendra Chahal, the leg spinner, wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson, and opener Yashasvi Jaiswal warmed the benches throughout the competition.

Four players served as travelling substitutes in addition to the fifteen players. Shubman Gill, Avesh Khan, Rinku Singh, and Khaleel Ahmed were among them. There is a chance for these four players to make Rs. 1 cr.

In addition, the team's head coach, Rahul Dravid, will receive Rs. 5 crore. Dravid's final tournament as the team's head coach was the T20 World Cup.

In his capacity as the cricket team's head coach, Dravid collaborated closely with T Dilip, Paras Mhambrey, and Vikram Rathour. The main coaching group was comprised of the troika. Mhambrey was the bowling coach, Rathaour was the batting coach, and Dilip was the fielding coach. From the Rs. 125 cr. corpus, each of the three men is expected to get Rs. 2.5 cr.

The article states that three physiotherapists, three throwdown experts, two masseurs, and a strength and conditioning coach make up Team India's backroom personnel. Soon, each of these people will receive Rs. 2 crore.

The financial benefit of Shah's generosity will also be shared by the five members of the selection panel, which is led by Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar. Each member of the selecting committee will get a salary of one crore rupees.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has pledged a monetary incentive of Rs. 11 crore for the Indian cricket team that won the T20 World Cup, in addition to the prize money declared by Shah. The news was made last week during a ceremony honouring four Mumbai players: captain Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Shivam Dubey, at the central hall of the Vidhan Bhavan (state legislature building) in Mumbai.
