Oman has announced its 17-member squad for the upcoming Asia Cup 2025. The squad includes four new players, who are set to make their first international debut in the tournament. Veteran opener Jatinder Singh has been named the captain and will lead the side in the eight-team tournament, where Oman is placed in Group A along with India, Pakistan and UAE.

Speaking to Boria Majumdar on RevSportz, Siraj said, "Shubman and I have been together for a long time. We have played for India A. We have spent time off the field as well. We made our Test debut together at the MCG. We have a lot of memories together. He is also the captain of Gujarat Titans. I keep telling him that you are my favourite".

In a video going viral on the internet, a fan is seen asking Rauf about the possibility of Pakistan and India playing matches twice in the tournament.
Rauf confidently replies, “Both are ours, InshaAllah.”
Jammu and Kashmir fast bowler Umran Malik made a strong comeback to competitive cricket after being out for a long time due to injury and performed impressively in the Buchi Babu tournament organized by the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association. The fast bowler, who could not play in the first match of the tournament against Railways, looked completely fit and bowled brilliantly in the second match against Odisha Cricket Association, taking two wickets.
The Netherlands have announced their squad for the upcoming three-match T20 series against Bangladesh, with 17-year-old Cedric de Lange being included in the squad for the first time. The 20-over series will start on August 30. All matches will be played in Sylhet.

“I am feeling good right now. It’s been five to six weeks. Good process, good routine for the last six weeks. Feeling really good. It [sports hernia injury] actually got detected closer to the end of the IPL. I realised it because I had a similar injury last year and that’s how I found out. So there were a few checklists. I tried those things and then I realised it was time to get a small MRI,” Suryakumar told BCCI.
