Punjab pacer Kashvee Gautam, with a base price of Rs 10 lakh, was secured by Gujarat Giants for Rs 2 crore in the WPL auction. Meanwhile, UP Warriorz bid Rs 1.3 crore for Karnataka batter Vrinda Dinesh. Both players, recently part of India A, made significant gains.
Australian cricketers also saw high bids, with Annabel Sutherland going to Delhi Capitals for Rs 2 crore and Phoebe Litchfield to Gujarat Giants for Rs 1 crore. Sutherland was released by Gujarat Giants after the inaugural WPL edition but found a new home with the Capitals.
