Virat Kohli bounced back from a disappointing outing against the Chennai Super Kings to lead Royal Challengers Bangalore to a thrilling IPL victory over the Punjab Kings on Monday.

Rebounding from a low-scoring performance against Chennai Super Kings, Virat Kohli anchored Royal Challengers Bangalore's (RCB) victory over Punjab Kings in the IPL on Monday. His innings weren't without some lighthearted moments, as he shared a playful exchange with the opposition while batting.

In a viral video on the microblogging website 'X', Kohli took a single to deep cover off the first ball of the seventh over bowled by spinner Harpreet Brar. Upon reaching the non-striker's end, Kohli could be seen having a healthy banter with what the video suggests is Punjab skipper Shikhar Dhawan.

Looking at Dhawan standing in the covers, Kohli could be heard saying: "Senti kyu hu raha hai, kya ho gaya? (why are you getting sentimental, what happened?)

It couldn't be ascertained if Kohli's response was something Dhawan did or said, but could have its roots in the fact that Kohli was dropped off the second ball of RCB's run-chase and then punished Punjab bowlers in the powerplay en route his 77 that won the match for the home team in Bengaluru.

Jonny Bairstow dropped Kohli in the slips off the bowling of Sam Curran. Kohli was on zero at that point.

Virat Kohli then went on to score 77, which helped RCB chase down Punjab's 176/6 with four balls to spare.
