Top 5 Players With The Most Number Of Ducks In The IPL History

Batters are more likely to score runs quickly in the fast-paced T20 style than to take a few deliveries and turn them into a large inning. The batsmen that play aggressively frequently lose their wickets, but occasionally they have no choice but to play aggressively because of the needed run-rate. On occasion, though, bowlers have delivered peaches that made it impossible for the batter to avoid losing his wicket.

Players from all over the globe are drawn to the Indian Premier League, which is regarded as one of the top two T20 competitions worldwide. There have been a lot of ducks in this league's history because of the thrill and intensity of the matches in this illustrious league. Players may even give in to pressure and lose their wicket.

5. Rashid Khan - 14 Ducks

Afghanistan's Rashid Khan, one of the best leg-spinners in modern cricket, holds an unwelcome record for the most ducks in his career. The Afghan spinner has played for Gujarat Titans for the past two years in addition to Sunrisers Hyderabad. He can, however, knock some long balls, as seen during the IPL 2023 matchup with the Mumbai Indians.

4. Mandeep Singh - 15 Ducks

Despite his potential, Mandeep Singh has been unable to capitalize on his opportunities in the Indian Premier League. Despite being thrown a ton of chances, he was never able to establish himself on a squad. He has played for the Delhi Capitals, Punjab Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders, Kings XI Punjab, and Royal Challengers Bangalore thus far, however, he was unable to hold onto his position.

Mandeep scored 1706 runs in 98 innings during the Indian Premier League, including six half-centuries and a career-high 77. With 15 ducks, he ranks fourth among players with the most, which is not good for any hitter in the top order.

3. Sunil Narine - 15 Ducks

Over the years, Sunil Narine, a well-known Knight of the Kolkata Knight Riders, has made several contributions to the club. Narine was an important batsman and ballplayer for KKR during their two-title run. He has batted every position on the squad, from top to bottom, by their needs.

Narine struggled a few times to deliver his fury with the bat, but he eventually succeeded, recording 15 ducks to date, good for third place among IPL players with the greatest duck total. He has amassed almost 1,000 runs, including four half-centuries, in 96 innings, which is remarkable for a bowler.

2. Rohit Sharma - 16 Ducks

Rohit Sharma, the team's face and the guy who guided them to five IPL crowns, is practically the team's fortunate charm. Having scored more than 6,000 runs, he is also one of the top scorers in IPL history. He can punish even the best bowlers in the world once he gets going.

Sadly, he has an unwelcome record to his credit since throughout his illustrious career of 238 innings played, he was forced to leave the field 16 times without interfering with the score. Despite not scoring in these 16 games, Rohit has shown to be one of the best batters in IPL history.

1. Dinesh Karthik - 17 Ducks

Dinesh Karthik, who has worn the jerseys of practically every team in the Indian Premier League's history, would not be happy to see his name at the top of the list of players with the most ducks ever. He has been a fantastic asset to every side he has played for and has had a successful IPL career thus far.

Karthik has amassed over 4,500 runs in 221 innings during his IPL career, with a career-high score of 97 not out. He tops this number, though, since in his career he has also been ejected for a duck 17 times. Dinesh would like to record zero ducks for RCB because he could be retiring after this season.
