Suryakumar Yadav is finally set to return for the Mumbai Indians in IPL 2024. The NCA has cleared him to play, and he'll rejoin the team on Friday. The world's #1 T20I batter has been sidelined by an ankle injury that required surgery since his last competitive match in December 2023.
Suryakumar later underwent an operation for a sports hernia, which further delayed his return to cricket as he continued his rehabilitation at the NCA facility in Bengaluru.

The 33-year-old will link up with the team in their practice session at the Wankhede stadium as they prepare for their next home game against Delhi Capitals, an afternoon match scheduled on April 7. The team management will take a call on his participation based on how he fares in the net session fitness-wise.
Mumbai Indians' home turf hasn't been friendly this season. They've dropped all three games so far, including matches against Gujarat Titans, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and most recently, Rajasthan Royals. This is an unusual scenario for a team typically known for their home-field advantage.
