Sri Lanka announces 25-Players squad for series against India, According to sources, the selectors have selected all-rounder Dasun Shanaka as the new captain.Team India is going to start the ODI series against Sri Lanka from July 13. According to sources, the selectors have picked all-rounder Dasun Shanaka as the new captain, while Dhananjay-de-Silva will play the vice-captain.
The Sports Minister has also approved this team. Recently, Shanaka has done well and he was one of the players who performed exceptionally in Sri Lankas tour of England.
Also, Shanaka has captaincy experience as well.
Under his captaincy, Sri Lanka won against Pakistan in the year 2019. Earlier, Shanaka was selected in the team for the West Indies tour, but due to delay in visa, he could not go on the tour.
