SRH vs RCB Match Preview: The 54th match of IPL between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore will be played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai from 3:30 pm on Sunday. Virat Kohlis bat has scored only one half-century so far this season while Hyderabad captain Kane Williamson has so far failed to convert a good start into a big innings.
When Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad face off in the IPL match on Sunday, all eyes will be on Virat Kohli and Kane Williamson, two of the worlds greatest batsmen battling poor form. Both Kohli and Williamson have not been able to perform as expected this season. Kohli has 21 in 11 matches. He scored just 216 runs at an average of 60 while Sunrisers captain Williamson scored 22 runs in 10 matches. Has scored only 199 runs at an average of 11.
Both have failed to live up to their high standards. Both will be trying to contribute to the victory by meeting the expectations of their team. Kohli indicated his return to form by scoring a half-century against Gujarat Titans but could not do any wonders against Chennai Super Kings in the last match. After hitting three fours and a six, he did not get a big shot and kept taking one run. Due to this, Glenn Maxwell was also run out and Kohli himself could only score 30 runs in 33 balls.
Williamson could not convert good starts into big innings. His strike rate is 96. 13 and he needs to bat aggressively now. After winning five matches in a row, the Sunrisers have lost three matches in a row, mainly due to injuries to their star bowlers. At present, he is in sixth place in the points table.
Sunrisers spinner Washington Sundar has again injured his bowling arm while pacer T Natarajan got injured in the match against Chennai. Both could not play against Delhi Capitals, due to which Delhis team scored more than 200 runs.
