Ruturaj Gaikwad creates history for the CSK as a captain

Ruturaj Gaikwad became the first captain of the Chennai Super Kings to hit a century in the Indian Premier League , leaving his mark on the team's history.Leading from the lead, Gaikwad's outstanding innings demonstrated his class and tenacity as he helped his team to a commanding 210/4 against the Lucknow Super Giants.

The record for the greatest individual score by a CSK skipper in IPL history was long held by MS Dhoni.

In the 2019 IPL, he scored 84 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

With 12 fours and three sixes in his 108-run innings, right-hander Gaikwad reached his second IPL century off just 56 and was still undefeated. In addition to showcasing Gaikwad's remarkable batting ability, the century also showed his rising status within the squad.

Fans and commentators alike were moved by his historic accomplishment, which cemented his place as an important member of the CSK and enhanced his standing as one of the league's most promising players.

After a rather quiet Power Play (49/2) and the middle passage, Gaikwad and Dube (66, 27b, 3x4, 7x6) contributed 104 runs for an exciting fourth-wicket partnership that boosted the Super Kings innings.

This IPL, batting has mostly involved slamming the ball far and wide, but Gaikwad chose a more traditional approach by timing the ball through the gaps for fours.Even though there were no sixes in his first fifty, he was still able to maintain a strike rate of at least 180 at that time.

With just 28 balls, the right-hander completed his 17th IPL fifty. The night's most impressive hit came from Gaikwad, who took a slice cut off bowler Mohsin Khan and beat the point fielder for a boundary.
