RCB vs GT Highlights, IPL 2022: Virat Kohli 73 helps RCB Win Match

IPL 2022 Full Highlights Between Royal Challengers vs Gujarat Titans: Virat Kohli scored a brilliant fifty and along with Faf Du Plessis, gave RCB a strong start in chase of 169 runs vs GT. Earlier, skipper Hardik Pandya hit a superb unbeaten fifty while Rashid Khan played some sublime shots at the end to help GT post 168/5 in 20 overs vs RCB. Earlier, batter David Miller departed for 34 runs. GT was jolted with two early wickets as Matthew Wade also departed after Gill was removed earlier. Well-set Saha was also run-out to leave GT reeling at 62/3 inside 9 overs. Openers Wriddhiman Saha and Shubman Gill provided a good start but the latter soon fell to an epic catch by Glenn Maxwell. GT skipper Hardik Pandya won the toss and opted to bat against Faf du Plessis-led RCB. RCB will have playoffs qualification in their mind when they take on league leaders Gujarat Titans in a crucial IPL 2022 fixture from Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Thursday.

After a disappointing campaign, Virat Kohli roared back to form when it mattered the most for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). The former RCB captain smashed 73 off 54 balls as RCB chased down a stiff 169-run target set by Gujarat Titans (GT) in 18.4 overs and kept themselves alive in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 play-offs race.

That's it!!! Glenn Maxwell and Dinesh Karthik provide the finishing touches to this Royal Challengers Bangalore's 169 chases. A thumping victory for Faf du Plessis and co. as they crush table-toppers Gujarat Titans by 8 wickets.

We had just a par score. The ball was stopping here and there and we were happy with 168. We wanted to give Lockie the opportunity, but the wicket was holding a bit. So we wanted to go for bowlers who bowled slower ones and took pace off the ball. We pulled things back in the middle but the way Maxwell played, in the end, made us feel we were 10 runs short. We are on the right track and we just need to look after losing back-to-back wickets. The learning is to make sure we don't do it in the playoffs. It is always good to score runs. The way the boys are gelling and the way we are going, it is a learning for the players. I don't know about Saha's injury. He was feeling his hamstring and it was a precautionary measure to keep him off the field. Losing captain Hardik Pandya

I can keep going. It was an important game. I was disappointed that I have not done enough for the team. Today was a game where I was able to create an impact on the team. Puts us in a good position. You need to keep the perspective right. You can forget the process in order to live up to the expectations. I have worked really hard. I batted 90 minutes in the nets yesterday. I came in very free and relaxed. It is in that spur of the moment why is it happening to me. It goes back to 2018 in England when I was dropped on 21 and the juggernaut could have started again like it did on the 2014 tour. With the very first shot of Shami, I felt I could hit length balls over the fielder's head. I knew that tonight was the night when I could kick on. It has been wonderful that I have got so much support in this edition. I am forever grateful for all the love that I have never seen before. Player of the Match | Virat Kohli
