In tweets regarding cybercrime, India, and Hinduism, Zainab is said to have used abusive language, according to media sources. Her previous tweets gained a lot of traction online. Which made it seem as though the piece on India and Hinduism was a complete failure. Concerning Zainab, a lawyer had protested to the BCCI. Zainab Abbas was forced to leave India as a result.

The BCCI received a complaint regarding Zainab from an Indian attorney called Vineet Jindal, according to sources in the "Free Press Journal." Vineet Jindal tweeted and published the complaint letter. The tweet from Vineet Jindal is also being discussed right now.

Vineet Jindal said in a tweet that Zainab Abbas's removal as a presenter for the ICC World Cup 2023 was asked in the complaint that was made to the BCCI and the Ministry of Home Affairs. Zainab has written offensive and divisive remarks on India and Hinduism. "Atiti Devo Bhava" is solely for people who appreciate our nation and the Hindu faith; people who are hostile to India are not permitted.
