Mumbai Indians WPL Squad: WPL Auction 2023 Indiawin Sports Pvt won the bid for the Mumbai franchise by paying INR 912.99 crores. The company, based in India, provides sports management services such as event management, sponsorship, and digital media rights. It manages athletes from various sports, including cricket, football, and kabaddi, and is also the owner of the Mumbai Indians IPL team.
The Women's Premier League proved to be a smart move for Mumbai Indians, as they managed to purchase Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur for a relatively low price of Rs 1.80 crore, which isn't even one of the top two buys for the team. However, Mumbai did spend Rs 3.20 crore on England all-rounder Natalie Sciver-Brunt, which is ten times more than the highest salary in the women's Hundred runs by the England and Wales Cricket Board. Mumbai also engaged in intense bidding wars with Delhi Capitals and UP Warriorz to secure Pooja Vastrakar for Rs 1.9 crore.
