2017

  • In November, she won a bronze medal at the Asian Boxing Championships held in Vietnam, showcasing her skills on an international platform.
  • Earlier in June, she secured another bronze medal at the President's Cup in Astana, adding to her growing list of accolades.

2018

  • She started the year by winning a gold medal at the inaugural India Open International Boxing Tournament in New Delhi, marking a significant achievement in her career.
  • Continuing her success, she secured a silver medal at the second India Open International Boxing Tournament held in Guwahati.
  • Her selection for the 2018 Commonwealth Games in the welterweight category was a major milestone. However, the announcement of her selection was controversial as she had not received any official notification and found out through the media. Despite the confusion, she participated and fought valiantly, but lost to Sandy Ryan of the UK in the quarterfinals. Sandy Ryan went on to win the gold medal in that category.

2020

  • In March, she qualified for the 2020 Olympics in the 69 kg category by defeating Uzbekistan's Maftunakhon Melieva with a 5-0 win at the Asia & Oceania Boxing Olympic Qualification Tournament. This made her the first woman from Assam to qualify for the Olympics. She later won a bronze medal at the Asian Olympic Qualifiers after losing to China's Gu Hong in a unanimous decision.
  • To prepare for the World Olympic qualifying event scheduled for May-June 2021, she trained in Assisi, Italy, from October 15 to December 5, 2020, honing her skills and strategy for the upcoming challenges.

2021

  • At the Tokyo Olympics, she became the first female athlete and second boxer from Assam to represent the state at the Olympics. In the early rounds, she defeated Germany's Nadine Apetz and then Taiwan's Chen Nien-chin on July 30, securing a medal for her efforts. Earlier in the competition, she had successfully defeated former world champion Chen Nien-Chin in the first round, demonstrating her continued capability and resilience.
