The team's colossal score of 262-2 is also their highest innings in the IPL, confirming their place in history and highlighting a stunning comeback following a spate of poor performances. Furthermore, the Kings' remarkable run chase tied the joint-highest score in IPL history for a side batting second, with Royal Challengers Bangalore's 262-7 earlier in the season.

With this emphatic victory, the Punjab Kings jumped to eighth position in the IPL rankings, recording their first win in five matches and six critical points from nine games, reigniting their campaign.
