The Indian Under-19 women's team defeated New Zealand Under-19 women's team by 8 wickets in the first semi-final of the Under-19 World Cup. With this victory, India created history and made it to the finals. Shweta Serwat played a half-century innings from India.

The Indian Women's Under-19 team created history in the Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup being played in South Africa.
