The Afghanistan team will tour Sri Lanka in June to prepare for the Asia Cup and the ODI World Cup to be held in India later this year. A series of three ODIs will be played between Afghanistan and Sri Lanka.
The ODI series is going to be held between Sri Lanka and Afghanistan (SL vs AFG) from 2nd June. The host team (SL) has announced its 16 members for this important series. The team will be captained by Dasun Shanaka, while Kusal Mendis will be the vice-captain. Three ODIs between Sri Lanka and Afghanistan will be held on June 2, 4 and 7 and all these matches will be played in Hambantota. This is an important series for Sri Lanka before the World Cup qualifiers. 20-year-old fast bowler Mathisha Pathirana, who did wonders with his bowling for champions Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2023, is also a part of the team. Afghanistan Cricket Board has also announced the team. So let's know about the schedule and squad of both teams.
