'Taj Mahal Palace' seen in the trailer of Stree 2
We will definitely tell you about the specialty of Bhopal's Taj Mahal Palace, but before that let us tell you when and where you must have seen its glimpses in the trailer of Stree 2. When the trailer starts, Chanderi village is shown in it, there is also a big fort behind it.
Apart from this, there is a statue of a woman, which shows that fort. Before Stree 2, most of Stree was shot in this 150-year-old palace in Bhopal.
The Taj Mahal Palace of Bhopal
The Taj Mahal Palace was built in 1884 by Begum Sultan Shah Jahan of Bhopal. It was her residence. It is believed that it took about 13 years to build. Its construction started in 1871 and its work was completed in 1884.
The Taj Mahal Palace of Bhopal was one of the largest palaces built at that time. Although its original name was Raj Mahal, it is said that the British were so impressed with its architecture that they suggested changing the name of the palace to Taj Mahal.
Why is the Taj Mahal Palace considered haunted?
Nowadays, makers mostly choose original locations to bring life to their films, even if they have to go to places considered haunted. The makers did something similar during the shooting of Stree. Apart from shooting in Chanderi village, they chose this palace.
According to Times Travel reports, when the makers were shooting Stree in the Taj Mahal Palace, the residents there had advised everyone that the female crew should not open their hair and also not use any perfume while shooting in the mansion. The local people there believe that the place is haunted and many members have also had scary experiences there during the shooting of Stree.
