In the international market, Volkswagen ID.4 comes with a sleek design and its shape is aerodynamic. At its front, the company has not provided a radiator grill like other cars. Both headlights are connected by a strip, in the middle of which is the Volkswagen logo. At the same time, there is a honeycomb air dam below the front bumper.
There are many curve lines and sharp edges on the sides, which enhance its look. The dimensions of the ID.4 model to be launched in India have not been revealed, but it appears to be slightly taller and shorter than the Volkswagen Taigun SUV.
To give the car a rugged look, Volkswagen has given cladding all around. A power tailgate with easy open and close function is also provided in the rear. It has been given connected LED tail lamps and high rear bumper. To give it a powerful SUV feel, the skid plate has been embossed on the outside. Depending on the variant, the car can get 19 or 20-inch wheels.
The cabin of Volkswagen ID.4 is quite futuristic and premium. Most of its functions are operated by touch or voice commands. In place of the traditional instrument cluster, the car has a 5.3-inch display, which the company has named ID.Cockpit. There is a large touchscreen in the middle of the dashboard, which offers many features including navigation and entertainment.
Talking about the features, the Volkswagen ID.4 has dual-zone climate control, all-LED lighting, heated seats, a panoramic sunroof, a 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity and navigation, AR heads-up display, wireless mobile Features like charging, wireless app-connect and connected car technology will be available.
For safety, ID.4 has been provided with 6 airbags, 360 degree camera and Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). It has a sturdy aluminum underbody panel shield that protects the battery from damage. In case of an accident, the car's battery automatically gets disabled for safety.
In the international market, Volkswagen ID.4 is available in four variants, in which rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive options are also available. Volkswagen has not yet shared any information about the battery pack option.
DC fast charging support of up to 135 kilowatts can be provided in ID.4, due to which its battery can be charged from 10 to 80% in just 28 minutes. At the same time, with 11 kW AC fast charging, it will take about 8 hours to charge the battery from 0 to 100%.
