Ramnavami is celebrated today in Ramnagari Ayodhya. The birth anniversary of Lord Shri Ram is being celebrated in the new grand Ram temple. Surya Tilak was applied on Ramlala's forehead with a special instrument. As soon as the rays of the sun fell on Ramlala's forehead, his forehead glowed.
Ramlala divine makeup was done before Surya Tilak. While sharing the pictures on Twitter, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra wrote, Today, on the auspicious occasion of Shri Ram Navami, the divine consecration of Lord Shri Ramlala Sarkar was done in the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple.
At 12 noon the sun's rays hit one mirror and moved towards the other with the help of a brass pipe. After this, it collided with the second mirror and went towards the third mirror.
The sun's rays hit the glass and went straight from the mouth of the pipe to Rammala's forehead. After this, Surya Tilak of Ramlala was done for five minutes.
Along with Ram Janmotsav, the importance of coriander is also discussed. Generally, there is a tradition of Panjiri made of flour, but on the occasion of Ram Janmotsav, dried coriander is ground and Panjiri Prasad is distributed. According to Jagadguru Ramanujacharya Swami Ratnesh Prapannacharya, the sweetness of Ram Janmotsav is mixed in it. Coriander leaves having medicinal properties are considered as beneficial as Sonthora for the baby and mother after delivery.
