He is one of Zimbabwe's most promising players, is a top-order batsman with quick hands and explosive hitting power as well as a skilled bowler who can bowl both spin and seam. The young right-hander, then 19 years old, made his professional debut in 2014 after returning from the ICC U-19 World Cup.
For the Mid-West Rhinos in 2014, Musakanda made his List A and first-class debuts.
