Born in Pakistan in 1992, he moved to Hong Kong as a baby with his family, though much of his early childhood was spent back and forth between the two countries. It was not until 2004, when he returned to Hong Kong for his education, that cricket truly entered his life.

Starting out with softball cricket, Nizakat quickly developed a passion for the game. By 2005, he was part of Hong Kong’s Under-13 squad that toured Malaysia, marking the first step in what would become a long association with the national team. After making debut his debut in the two white-ball formats in 2014, Nizakat quickly established himself as one of Hong Kong’s most dynamic top-order players.
