Hailing from Bloemfontein which gave Allan Donald to the world of cricket, Duanne Olivier is a tall fast bowler known for his pace and swing. Being the leading wicket-taker in the 2016-17 domestic FC cricket competition with 52 wickets, he earned a national call and made his Test debut in January 2017 against Sri Lanka.
His high point came when he scalped 24 wickets in a 3-match Test series against Pakistan - the second-most by a South African pacer - and was named as the Player of the Series.
