Salman Ali Agha is a very talented cricketer hailing from Pakistan. He is a right-handed batter who can bowl some useful off-breaks. He made his first-class debut in 2013 for Lahore Shalimar. After playing for the club for many years, he played his first List A game in 2013 picking up 3 wickets against Rawalpindi Rams. The following year, he made his T20 debut in the Faysal Bank T20 Cup. In 2018, he was drafted by Edmonton Royals for the inaugural edition of the Global T20 Canada tournament and was the leading run-scorer with 218 runs in 6 games. In 2019, he was named in the Southern Punjab squad for the domestic season while in 2021, he played for Pakistan Shaheens in the tour of Sri Lanka. Salman has also been a consistent part of the Pakistan T20 League playing for Lahore from 2017-2020, then switching to Islamabad in 2024 winning the title as well.



After grinding it out in the domestic circuit, Salman finally got his rewards in 2022. He made his Test debut against Sri Lanka and his ODI debut against the Netherlands. He scored his maiden Test hundred against New Zealand. In 2023, he smashed an unbeaten 132 against Sri Lanka which is his the then highest Test score. He was also named in the Pakistan squad for the 2023 ODI World Cup. In 2024, he scored his third Test century in the first Test against England. Salman was also named the vice-captain for the white-ball formats which is a great honour for him. Salman's numbers may not be that eye-catching but he makes valuable contributions with both bat and ball which affects the game and more often than not helps Pakistan to be on the right side.
