The Zimbabwe Cricket Board has officially confirmed a three-match T20I series involving the Indian men's team. The series is scheduled to be played in Harare on July 23, 25, and 26, 2026. Additionally, Zimbabwe will tour India for a three-match ODI series in January 2027.

Harare. Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) has officially confirmed that the Indian men's cricket team will tour Zimbabwe in July 2026 to play a three-match T20I series.

This series will be played at the Harare Sports Club on July 23, 25, and 26. All matches are scheduled to begin at 1:00 PM (local time).
India last toured Zimbabwe in 2024, when a young and inexperienced squad, led by Shubman Gill, played a five-match T20I series. In that series, India staged a magnificent comeback after losing the opening match to secure a 4-1 series victory.
Givemore Makoni, Managing Director of Zimbabwe Cricket, stated, "Matches against India always generate tremendous interest. Competing against a world-champion team on our home soil presents a fantastic opportunity for our players to test their mettle."
Makoni further added, "Following our strong performance in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, this series will provide us with a robust platform to maintain our momentum and emerge as a formidable force in international cricket."

Zimbabwe's Tour of India Also Confirmed

Furthermore, the Zimbabwe Cricket Board has also confirmed a tour of India for a three-match One Day International (ODI) series in January 2027. The BCCI has already announced this series as part of its 2026-27 domestic season.

The match schedule is as follows:

  • 1st ODI — January 3, 2027, Kolkata
  • 2nd ODI — January 6, 2027, Hyderabad
  • 3rd ODI — January 9, 2027, Mumbai

Describing this tour as "historic," Makoni stated, "Touring India marks a milestone for Zimbabwe Cricket after more than 20 years. India is the premier destination in world cricket. This presents an opportunity for our players to both gain honor and learn."

He expressed hope that this bilateral series between the two nations would showcase high-quality cricket and further strengthen the ties between the two boards.
