Ranchi (2025): Indian cricket legend Virat Kohli has once again stunned the cricketing world with his stellar performance. In the first ODI against South Africa (IND vs SA 2025), Kohli, playing in difficult conditions, reached his 52nd ODI century.
After 37.5 overs, India's score is 233/4, with King Kohli contributing the most to this score.
After the dismissal of other key batsmen, including Rohit Sharma (57), Kohli took charge of the innings and scored quickly. He reached 103 runs off just 102 balls, hitting seven fours and five towering sixes. His strike rate was 100.98.
Kohli's century not only strengthened the team's score but also put immense pressure on the South African bowlers.
Even after reaching his century, wicketkeeper-batsman KL Rahul (17 runs, 25 balls)* remains at the crease to support Virat Kohli (103 runs*). Together, they have shared a partnership of 33 runs so far. In the final 12.1 overs, it will be up to these two experienced batsmen to take India to a score of 320+.
