The Hundred 2026: England's rising star all-rounder Rehan Ahmed has officially signed with Birmingham Phoenix for the 2026 season of 'The Hundred'. The 21-year-old Rehan becomes the franchise's first 'direct signing' player.
Rehan Ahmed was previously part of Trent Rockets, where he had a stellar 2025 season, taking 12 wickets and scoring over 180 runs. Now, under the coaching of Shane Bond and the strategic guidance of James Thomas, he will showcase his leg-spin bowling and aggressive batting at Edgbaston.
Rehan's recent performance is a testament to his talent:
After signing the contract, Rehan expressed his enthusiasm, saying, "I am very happy to join Birmingham Phoenix. The team's vision and the atmosphere at Edgbaston are both amazing. My goal is to help the team win 'The Hundred' title next year."
He had returned home last month due to a leg muscle strain during the tour of Australia, but he is now fit and playing for Hobart Hurricanes in the Big Bash League (BBL).
