West Indies batsman Nicholas Pooran is famous for his stormy batting. When his bat is in action, every ground seems small. Pooran is currently playing for Northern Superchargers in The Hundred tournament in England. He batted in such a way against Manchester Originals that the bowlers held their heads.
Thanks to this innings of Puran, the Superchargers team was successful in winning the match. Batting first, Manchester scored 152 runs for the loss of seven wickets. The Superchargers team achieved this target three balls earlier.
During his innings, Puran hit two fours and eight sixes. One of these sixes was so long that even the spectators of the country were stunned. Puran hit this six of 113 meters. On the 74th ball of the Superchargers innings, Puran hit a six over deep midwicket. Scott Curry's ball was on Puran's feet in the line of the middle stump. Puran took this ball right in the middle of his bat and hit a powerful six. It was a 113-meter six and the ball went out of the stadium.
The fans sitting right behind in the stands were watching the ball lying outside the stadium and were surprised at Puran's shot. Puran faced 33 balls in this match and scored 66 runs. He remained unbeaten and was successful in leading the team to victory.
Before Pooran, Manchester captain Phil Salt's bat also spoke loudly. This right-handed batsman played a half-century innings which was more stormy than Pooran's innings. Salt scored 61 runs in 28 balls with the help of five fours and four sixes. But Pooran spoiled his innings.
