Veteran player Anup Kumar became the top raider in the inaugural edition of the PKL in 2014. Playing for U Mumba, Anup Kumar scored 169 points in that campaign.
Pardeep Narwal (Seasons 3 and 5) was the first Kabaddi player to win the top raider honour twice in the PKL. Narwal has since been surpassed by Pawan Sehrawat, who has scored the most raid points in three consecutive PKL seasons (6 to 8). However, Pardeep Narwal still holds the record for scoring the most raid points in a season with 369, which he achieved for Patna Pirates in Season 5. Sehrawat was close to breaking the record in Season 7, but missed out by nine points. With over 1700 raid points in the PKL, Pardeep Narwal is also the most successful raider in the competition. Maninder Singh and Pawan Sehrawat are third and fourth on the all-time raiders list.
