Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) is all set to face Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the 10th match of the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Sunday, April 5. Both teams are heading into this match with contrasting form. SRH lost their opening match of this new season but made a resounding comeback with a magnificent 65-run victory against Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens.
LSG will play their second match of the season in Hyderabad. Led by Rishabh Pant, the team suffered a defeat at the hands of the Delhi Capitals in their opening match on home soil; they were bowled out for just 141 runs and lost the match by six wickets.
SRH and LSG faced each other twice last season, with both teams winning one match apiece. However, when these two teams clashed at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, the Lucknow side emerged victorious. Batting first, SRH posted a total of 190 runs on the board. However, this score could have been even higher had Shardul Thakur not claimed four wickets while conceding just 34 runs. In reply, LSG chased down the target in just 16.1 overs. The credit for this goes to Nicholas Pooran's blistering knock of 70 runs off just 26 balls, which included six fours and an equal number of sixes.

SRH vs LSG: Probable Best Performers
Abhishek Sharma
Abhishek Sharma delivered a magnificent performance in the match against KKR at Eden Gardens, and his explosive batting during the powerplay overs single-handedly turned the tide of the match in SRH's favor. However, that was merely a glimpse of the havoc this left-handed batsman is capable of wreaking. Abhishek fell just a few runs short of completing his half-century, but on Sunday, he will be looking to achieve something far greater.
Digvesh Rathi
Digvesh Singh Rathi has not played a single match so far this season, but true IPL fans will never forget the impact he made during the 2025 season. It was in that season that he made his debut and claimed some crucial wickets for his team—including that of Virat Kohli. There is a possibility that Digvesh will be fielded as an 'Impact Player' in LSG's upcoming match, and he will be hoping to deliver a stellar performance, just as he always does.
SRH vs LSG Pitch Report
During the 2025 IPL season, five full matches were played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Of these matches, four were won by the teams chasing the target. This trend is likely to continue in the 19th season of the tournament as well. The pitch offers considerable assistance to batsmen, yet spinners can also prove quite effective—particularly if they manage to extract extra turn from the ball and have the courage to give it some air.
